Beach access from Saint-Jean-de-Monts and Saint-Hilaire-de Riez<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Saint Jean de Monts<\/a> and St-Hilaire de Riez<\/strong> stretch along the ocean with their long, beautiful sandy beaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the L’Acapulco campsite<\/a>, you can walk to Plage des Mouettes, a supervised beach in July and August, but don’t hesitate to try out the popular Plage des Demoiselles or Plage de la Baigneuse opposite the pedestrian street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can cycle to plage de riez through the national forest of riez<\/strong> through the nationalforest of Saint Hilaire de Riez<\/a>. The large beach at Sion is also a pleasant alternative , with its nautical base , beach club or beach library.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Where to walk by the sea near St-Jean de Monts and St Hilaire de Riez?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During your stay in Saint Jean de Monts<\/strong> and Saint Hilaire de Riez<\/strong>, don’t miss the opportunity to stroll along the magnificent rocky coastline of Sion and its five pineaux. This not-to-be-missed walk will take you to the charming town of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie. Along the way, you can admire the superb villas built along the seafront, witnesses of seaside architecture from another era…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our campsites near Notre-Dame-de-Monts<\/a> offer close proximity to a seaside promenade with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean<\/strong>. It’s the ideal place to enjoy a leisurely stroll with family, friends or couples, admiring the steep cliffs and picturesque landscapes. Breathe in the sea air, feel the breeze caress your face and soak up the natural beauty of the Vend\u00e9e coast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canoe trip in the marshes, the Salt Route<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Accompanied by a guide, discover the marshes of Sallertaine<\/a> (former island) in less than 2 hours or much more depending on the package.
I like the bivouac option (for lovers) or the evening package (fun with friends). The Route du Sel<\/a> is a must-see walk during your stay in Vend\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take the opportunity to visit the artisan village of Sallertaine<\/a> and take home a souvenir made on the spot (100% responsible purchasing) by a jewelry designer, a leatherworker, a glassblower and others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A bike-rail escapade<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Discover a picturesque and fun mode of transport. Suitable for the whole family, the Commequiers velo-rail<\/a> is located between Challans and Saint Gilles Croix de<\/a> Vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A ride in the countryside with friends or family, on a horse-drawn carriage for up to 5 people. You’ll discover a typical landscape, where you can picnic, etc. for a walk of around 2 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beware, though, as the route is quite challenging, with a 20 km round trip.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sallertaine<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Discover Sallertaine<\/a>, the jewel of the Vend\u00e9e, enchanted by its unique atmosphere. Renowned for its arts and crafts, the town is a haven of peace, with cobbled streets, ancient churches and local artisan stores.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Visit a mill near Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Vend\u00e9e wouldn’t be the Vend\u00e9e without its mills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Close to our campsite in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez<\/strong>, I recommend the Moulin des Gourmands<\/a> in St R\u00e9v\u00e9rand, where you can visit the mill as well as enjoy a fun trail and labyrinth. Don’t forget the tasting, and don’t forget to bring back your own flour made on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you took advantage of my previous tips to visit Sallertaine, on the way you can stop off at Moulin de Rair\u00e9<\/a>, which produces organic flour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plan to spend a full day here. There’s no shortage of attractions and plenty of grassy areas to relax in during the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
